Its absolute volume expanded +28.29% MoM from April (199,996 to 256,575), with its share holding steady as the broader market rose in tandem (+30.39% globally). The top 20 countries capture approximately 92.0% of all departures, while countries ranked 21-80 collectively contribute around 26K flights. May's broad-based strength lifted all tiers of the rankings, with the largest absolute gains concentrated in the U.S. and the leading European markets.

Americas Dominance The Americas region accounts for 74.99% of global departures across 36 countries. The U.S. remains dominant with 256,575 flights (+28.29% MoM from April), Mexico contributed 7,989 (+6.24% MoM), and Canada posted 8,704 (+61.75% MoM). Caribbean destinations also surged from April levels, with Bahamas (2,875) leading the region's tier-2 markets as leisure travel accelerated into the summer season.

Emerging Market Trends Rest of World encompasses 124 countries and contributes 8.64% of departures in May 2026. Brazil leads with 8,427 flights (-0.72% MoM), followed by Turkey (2,221, +50.37% MoM) and Australia (2,215, +4.38% MoM). The summer ramp lifted most emerging markets. China contributed 1,722 departures, while Saudi Arabia surged to 1,349 (+98.38% MoM) as Middle East activity accelerated sharply.
