Year-over-year, the region grew +6.98% against May 2025's 30,213 departures. The gain was the mildest of the three regions (vs NA +27.32% and EU +68.05%), reflecting ROW's flatter monthly pattern and lower exposure to Northern Hemisphere seasonal swings.

The region's 8.64% global share eased from April's 11.44% as North America and especially Europe surged faster. ROW's steadier profile reflects its diverse geographic composition spanning South America, Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and Africa, where seasonal drivers vary independently of Northern Hemisphere cycles.

Seasonal Pattern Recognition The 13-month trend shows Rest of World seasonality differs from Northern Hemisphere patterns: Dec 2025's 36,052 departures marked the annual peak. May 2026's 32,323 sits above May 2025's 30,213, a modest YoY gain. The region's narrower seasonal range (19.8K-36.1K) makes month-to-month variations less dramatic than for NA or EU.

Market Dynamics Brazil led ROW activity with 8,427 departures (26.09% of the region, 2.25% global), followed by Turkey (2,221) and Australia (2,215). Turkey (+50.37% MoM) and Saudi Arabia (+98.38%) posted strong gains, while Brazil edged slightly lower (-0.72% MoM). Asia-Pacific markets including India, Australia, and China showed mixed but broadly stable trends.

The region's diverse geographic composition means May benefits from offsetting seasonal effects — Southern Hemisphere autumn travel and steady Middle Eastern activity providing diversified contributions. This diversification explains ROW's muted MoM expansion relative to NA's and EU's sharper rebounds.

June Outlook June 2025's 29,056 baseline establishes the next YoY benchmark. YTD Jan-May 2026 stands at 147,105 flights, +4.05% above Jan-May 2025's 141,375, providing a positive cushion. The region's structural growth trajectory remains intact, with summer Northern Hemisphere demand historically supporting steady ROW activity through Q2.
