May 2026 saw broad-based YoY expansion across all segments and regions. Europe led the surge with Short-haul +32.46% and Medium-haul +31.70%, while North America posted strong, uniform gains (+19.08% to +29.85%). Rest of World grew more modestly (+4.22% to +12.54%), with its Medium-haul (+12.54%) outpacing Short-haul. The breadth confirms a genuine demand surge rather than a narrow segment effect.

North America Analysis North American operations delivered broad-based expansion, with short-haul rising +29.85% YoY (+30.97% MoM to 165,828) and medium-haul gaining +27.26% YoY (+21.73% MoM to 107,607). Long-haul advanced +19.08% YoY (7,172 flights, +33.14% MoM), reflecting strong demand across all mission profiles.

The May calendar (31 days) combined with peak early-summer demand drove this powerful expansion. The balanced YoY growth across all three range categories (+19% to +30%) reflects genuine volume strength rather than a one-off effect, with both domestic connectivity and premium transcontinental operations contributing to the surge.

Europe Analysis European business aviation showed the steepest MoM gains among the three regions, with Short-haul surging +65.43% MoM (38,150 flights, +32.46% YoY) and Medium-haul soaring +76.96% MoM (20,611 flights, +31.70% YoY). Long-haul posted a more modest +7.75% YoY (2,515 flights, +43.88% MoM).

Europe's powerful Short- and Medium-haul gains signal a strong seasonal acceleration into summer, running well ahead of 2025 levels. The more modest Long-haul YoY (+7.75%) indicates intercontinental missions grew steadily rather than explosively, while the exceptional MoM figures reflect the seasonal ramp from April's lower base.

Rest of World Analysis Rest of World delivered the most measured gains, with Short-haul up +4.22% YoY (18,902 flights, +4.30% MoM), Medium-haul +12.54% YoY (10,830 flights, +11.93% MoM) and Long-haul +6.16% YoY (2,550 flights, +13.03% MoM). The lighter MoM gains reflect ROW's flatter monthly seasonality.

ROW's more measured expansion compared to NA and EU reflects the diverse baseline across South American, Middle Eastern, and Asia-Pacific markets, where seasonal drivers vary independently of Northern Hemisphere cycles. Medium-haul led the region's gains (+12.54% YoY), signaling steady growth in longer regional connections even as short-haul advanced more modestly.
