Phenom Fleet Dwarfs Praetor in Brazil

AVI-GO Intelligence · · Interactive version with charts

✈️ Brazilian light jets take center stage: 102 active Phenoms, only 8 Praetors

Brazil's domestic business jet fleet composition shows a distinctly light-jet-dominated pattern. Avi-Go data shows that during the roughly 90-day period from May 10 to August 8, 2026, among Brazil-related flights, the Phenom series had at least 102 different tail numbers active (102 on the departure end, 101 on the arrival end), while the mid-size/super-mid-size Praetor series had only 8 (8 on both departure and arrival ends). Although Embraer delivered 74 business jets in the first half of 2026, with 45 in the second quarter, an 18% year-over-year increase, Brazil's domestic installed fleet remains highly concentrated in the light/entry-level Phenom product line, with limited Praetor deployment. Notably, according to the July 2026 monthly report, the Praetor 500 ranked first among global aircraft types with a utilization rate of 53.42% and a fleet of 93 aircraft, showing the series' high-intensity use on the global operational side.

Impact: For MRO and spare parts positioning, Brazil's domestic service demand remains highly concentrated in the Phenom product line, while demand for Praetor-related spare parts and technician reserves is relatively limited.

Recommendation: MRO providers and spare parts suppliers should prioritize strengthening domestic maintenance capabilities and inventory depth for the Phenom series before the fourth quarter of 2026; at the same time, closely track quarterly increases in Praetor activity in Brazil, and once active tail numbers surpass double digits, initiate an evaluation of mid-size jet service locations.
