✈️ KHND Exhibition Requirements Layered onto 1,699 Movements of Routine Traffic
NBAA confirmed on September 1, 2026, that the 2026 NBAA-BACE will be held from October 20 to 22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Henderson Executive Airport (KHND), with aircraft displayed in the Aircraft Connection area at KHND and at the convention center. Exhibiting aircraft at KHND will be subject to requirements involving display parking positions, dimensional declarations, centralized towing, ramp surface protection, and reservation-based handling support. Display positions are organized differently from regular turnaround parking positions. Avi-Go data show that, as of September 7, 2026, KHND recorded 1,699 business aircraft movements in August, an increase of 49 movements, or 3.0%, from 1,650 in July. Departures rose from 814 to 853 movements, while arrivals increased from 836 to 846 movements. The two full calendar months from July 1 to August 31 totaled 3,349 movements, including 1,667 departures and 1,682 arrivals, indicating that Aircraft Connection operations will be organized on top of the airport’s existing traffic volume.
Impact: For exhibitors, moving an aircraft into Aircraft Connection is not a routine arrival-and-departure mission. Display dimensions, towing arrangements, and ramp surface protection will directly affect the arrival sequence and on-site turnaround. For the KHND handling team, exhibition operations and routine business aircraft activity must be managed simultaneously from October 20 to 22, and resources should be allocated separately for display aircraft and aircraft conducting regular operations.
Recommendation: Exhibitors should submit accurate aircraft type dimensions, arrival and departure arrangements, and towing requirements to NBAA and KHND as soon as possible, and plan display setup separately from routine turnaround operations. It is worth continuing to monitor the forthcoming 2026 Aircraft Connection operating rules, reservation procedures, and ramp requirements to be published by NBAA, and using them to refine October aircraft move-in and move-out plans.
