⚠️ Five European Airports Show a 547-Movement Discrepancy in Aggregate Data

The short-window traffic data for London Farnborough (EGLF), Luton (EGGW), Paris Le Bourget (LFPB), Geneva (LSGG), and Nice (LFMN) are not yet sufficient to support a conclusion that capacity has shifted among alternative airports. Avi-Go data show that, when business aviation activity from August 3 to August 16, 2026, was aggregated by airport using the same methodology on two occasions, the totals were 5,694 movements and 6,241 movements, respectively. The former comprised 2,887 departures and 2,807 arrivals, while the latter comprised 3,157 departures and 3,084 arrivals. The two results differed by 547 movements, or approximately 9.6%. At the same time, neither query produced a daily, airport-level breakdown of arrivals and departures. Because the discrepancy is already close to 10% of the initial aggregate total, the available data cannot distinguish actual changes at each airport, nor can they support a conclusion that strikes, slot restrictions, or ground-handling shortages caused business aviation activity to shift among the five airports.

Impact: For operators, brokers, and FBOs serving London, Paris, Geneva, and Nice, directly using either aggregate figure to plan diversion capacity or staffing shifts could result in a statistical discrepancy being misinterpreted as a change in demand. In particular, without daily breakdowns, neither the peak dates nor the direction of traffic flows at individual airports can be confirmed.

Recommendation: Before adjusting resource allocation at EGLF, EGGW, LFPB, LSGG, or LFMN, obtain daily departure and arrival data for all five airports from August 3 to August 16, 2026, and apply consistent deduplication and airport-level counting rules. Until a verifiable baseline is established, treat 5,694 to 6,241 movements only as an observed range, and closely monitor whether the 547-movement discrepancy narrows.
