✈️ Oslo Leads Business Aviation Activity Across Three Nordic Hubs
On July 30, 2026, Universal published its European Summer 2026 business aircraft parking guide, covering parking time limits, PPR, parking stand approvals, and aircraft type restrictions. Previously, on January 1, 2026, Finavia implemented terms of service that included sections on Helsinki Airport landing fees and aircraft parking fees. Avi-Go data show that from August 1 to August 23, 2026, Oslo Gardermoen Airport recorded 368 business aircraft movements, exceeding Stockholm Arlanda Airport’s 299 movements and Helsinki-Vantaa Airport’s 229 movements. The three airports recorded a combined 896 movements, with each takeoff and landing counted as one movement at the airport level. By movement type, Oslo recorded 182 departures and 186 arrivals; Stockholm recorded 153 and 146, respectively; and Helsinki recorded 114 and 115, respectively. During the same period, the three airports recorded 297 international arrivals, led by Oslo with 124, followed by Helsinki with 98 and Stockholm with 75, showing that Oslo had both the highest total business aircraft movements and the highest number of international arrivals during this period.
Impact: Oslo’s 368 movements and 124 international arrivals make it the most concentrated node among the three airports for trip inquiries and cross-border permit reviews. Helsinki recorded 23 more international arrivals than Stockholm despite having 70 fewer total business aircraft movements, meaning relevant service providers should assess cross-border support demand separately from overall airport traffic.
Recommendation: When operating missions at the three airports, obtain trip-specific quotations based on the aircraft type, parking duration, and arrival and departure arrangements at Oslo, Stockholm, and Helsinki, and verify PPR, parking stand approvals, and applicable fee terms. Going forward, operators should continue monitoring specific updates to Finavia’s terms of service and operational notices from all three airports.
