✈️ Deer Jet Domestic Capacity Shows V-Shaped Fluctuation, March Trough Draws Attention
Avi-Go data shows that Deer Jet (Beijing) Co., Ltd., as the launch operator of Comac business jets, recorded a cumulative 1,486 business jet takeoffs and landings within China from January to June 2026 (741 takeoffs, 745 landings). The capacity trend shows a distinct V-shape: from January to February, it rose slightly from 228 to 263 movements, then plunged to the full-period low of 125 movements in March, rapidly rebounded to a peak of 321 in April, and pulled back at a high level to 284 and 265 in May and June. The takeoff and landing movements were highly close across the full period, reflecting a relatively balanced inbound and outbound operation, but the phased trough in March highlights underlying concerns about capacity stability.
Impact: March capacity was nearly halved. If this is related to fleet scheduling or the pace of introducing converted aircraft, it may affect Deer Jet's operational continuity as Comac's launch operator and customer fulfillment confidence; the high-level pullback also suggests that the demand peak in the first half may be difficult to sustain.
Recommendation: Deer Jet should review the causes of the March trough within July 2026, clarifying whether it is related to fleet maintenance, conversion scheduling, or market demand; and establish a monthly capacity early-warning mechanism in the third quarter to smooth seasonal fluctuations and solidify the market demonstration effect of the launch operator.
