✈️ VistaJet China Bucks the Trend, European Core Markets Contract Across the Board
Avi-Go data shows that from April 1 to June 3, 2026, VistaJet recorded 9,232 total global departures. China, with 263 departures and a year-over-year growth of 27.7% (a net increase of 57 departures), was the only market among the Top 10 departure countries to achieve positive growth. In sharp contrast, Europe's traditional core markets came under collective pressure: the UK declined 18.3%, Spain -14.5%, Germany -14.2%, Greece -9.2%, and Italy -6.7%. Of particular note, the UAE — which ranked in the top ten with 351 departures during the same period in 2025 — has dropped off the list in 2026, directly linked to Middle East geopolitical conflicts and airspace closures; Portugal entered the Top 10 with 169 departures, filling that vacancy. In terms of fleet composition, the Challenger 350 remained the dominant aircraft type with 2,663 departures, accounting for 29.0% of total operations.
Impact: China's counter-trend performance provides substantive validation for VistaJet's Asia-Pacific strategy. Against a backdrop of softening European demand, the Asia-Pacific region's role in supporting overall operational scale is rising. For FBOs and ground service providers with operations in China, the continued expansion of VistaJet's China departure volume means that handling demand will become increasingly concentrated, and the bargaining power of leading operators is likely to strengthen.
