After adjusting for the one additional calendar day in May, average daily movements edged up slightly from 105.3 to 105.5, essentially flat, meaning the added capacity did not bring a corresponding increase in flight intensity, and average per-aircraft utilization declined slightly. This change occurred against a backdrop of tightening supply, with pre-owned inventory down 12% year-over-year and airframe prices rising.
Impact: The fleet expansion is running ahead of demand deployment, diluting per-aircraft output in the short term and pressuring the profit contribution of marginally added aircraft. The dispersion of capacity also indicates that VistaJet is locking in scarce aircraft supply and seizing the initiative on the supply side, rather than simply pursuing immediate utilization.
