✈️ Sino Jet Expands G700 Fleet, with Only 2 Flights Across Four Cities
Sino Jet announced on September 3, 2026, that it had added a brand-new Gulfstream G700, increasing the number of this aircraft type in its fleet to two. The announcement cited nonstop flights from Beijing and Shanghai to New York and London to illustrate the aircraft’s range capabilities and also introduced the company’s global operating network. On September 4, AIN further reported that the second G700 had joined Sino Jet’s charter fleet. Avi-Go data show that from July 20 to September 4, 2026, G700 business jet departures from Haikou, Sanya, Hangzhou, and Chengdu totaled two flights: one from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport and one in total from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, while Haikou Meilan International Airport and Sanya Phoenix International Airport recorded zero. These statistics cover only departing flights from the four named cities, with each complete flight counted as one flight. Beijing- and Shanghai-to-New York or London routes were range examples in the announcement, while activity across the four cities during the short observation window reflects limited actual operating movements.
Impact: Sino Jet’s G700 fleet has increased to two aircraft, expanding the supply of ultra-long-range charter offerings. However, only two departing flight segments were observed in Haikou, Sanya, Hangzhou, and Chengdu over 46 days, so service providers and dispatch operators in these cities should not allocate dedicated inventory based solely on range examples or sporadic activity.
Recommendation: Service providers in Hangzhou and Chengdu may maintain lightweight response plans based on the one observed flight segment in each city, without expanding investment in G700-specific spare parts and support capabilities for now. Going forward, they should focus on tracking the actual flight-segment distribution of Sino Jet’s second G700 and disclosures regarding its operating arrangements, then adjust city coverage accordingly.
