🔧 Resurgent Auctions Eclipse Inventory Ahead of Closure
AIN reported on August 17, 2026, that Resurgent Aviation Solutions, based in Aurora, Illinois, will close on August 31 and has launched a public liquidation auction of its remaining Eclipse 500/550 parts and components inventory. The auction covers parts and components inventory rather than the sale of the business as a whole, and Resurgent’s existing Eclipse maintenance support capabilities will leave the local service market upon closure. Avi-Go data show that from August 1 through August 30, 2026, Chicago/Aurora Municipal Airport (KARR), where Resurgent is located, recorded 106 business aircraft departures and 104 arrivals, totaling 210 movements. During the same period, alternative airport DuPage Airport (KDPA) recorded 811 movements, while Chicago O’Hare International Airport (KORD) recorded 1,624 movements, bringing the three-airport total to 2,645 movements. These airport data were not filtered for Resurgent customers and reflect the scale of surrounding business aviation activity rather than the number of Eclipse aircraft or affected customers.
Impact: The public auction will release Eclipse 500/550 inventory into the market as individual assets, providing maintenance organizations and owners supporting this aircraft type with an additional source of parts. For customers that previously relied on Resurgent’s technical services, the reallocation of maintenance resources after the closure will directly affect future support arrangements. KARR’s 210 movements during the period indicate sustained local business aviation activity, but do not mean that all such traffic was associated with Resurgent.
Recommendation: Eclipse 500/550 operators should immediately review their requirements for high-consumption parts, long-lead-time components, and airworthiness documentation before deciding whether to participate in the liquidation auction. They should also verify the part numbers, condition, and traceability records of any materials purchased. The ultimate destination of the inventory after the auction, as well as how Resurgent’s former service capabilities may be replaced in the Aurora or DuPage area, should continue to be monitored.
