🛫 Pearson Summer Business Jet Movements Exceed Montreal’s

In a comparison of the two specified airports in summer 2026, Toronto Pearson recorded more business jet movements than Montréal–Trudeau. Avi-Go data show that from June 1 through August 31, 2026, Pearson (CYYZ) recorded 3,965 business jet departures and 3,872 arrivals, for a total of 7,837 movements; Montréal–Trudeau (CYUL) recorded 2,257 departures and 2,224 arrivals, for a total of 4,481 movements. The difference between the two airports was 3,356 movements. This comparison covers only CYYZ and CYUL and reflects airport movements, not the number of charter bookings available for sale.

Impact: For charter sales teams covering both airports, Pearson’s higher movement volume means a larger pool of potential customers to contact and can inform the scheduling of sales visits. However, sales opportunities must still be assessed against inquiries and completed transactions; charter revenue targets should not be allocated directly on the basis of movement counts.

Recommendation: First, pilot more intensive customer outreach for CYYZ and separately track inquiries, quotes, and completed transactions for CYYZ and CYUL. Then compare those sales metrics with the summer airport activity benchmarks of 7,837 and 4,481 movements before deciding whether to adjust sales resources at the two airports.
