✈️ Piaggio Expands After-Sales Support for Three Generations of Avanti
Piaggio’s after-sales support initiative covers the Avanti I, II, and Evo. According to Business Jet Interiors International, Piaggio Aerospace said on September 24, 2026, that it was expanding full-lifecycle support for operators of all three generations. AINonline previously reported on September 22 that cumulative Avanti Evo sales had exceeded 40 aircraft. Avi-Go data show that from August 18 to September 26, 2026, the Piaggio P.180 Avanti had 84 active registrations. The count includes aircraft that completed at least one flight during that period, with each registration counted once. It covers the P.180 model and cannot be used as the number of Evos in service.
Impact: Full-lifecycle support for three generations has a different scope from the sales figures disclosed for the Evo alone. For P.180 operators and buyers, the 84 active registrations show that the model flew during the reporting period. When drafting maintenance or purchase contracts, however, they should rely on the specific services stated in the contract and not treat the support initiative itself as a service commitment.
Recommendation: In purchase and maintenance negotiations involving the Avanti I, II, or Evo, request that Piaggio specify the services, response times, spare-parts supply, and applicable terms for each model, and include the agreed provisions in the contract. Monitor subsequent announcements for details of the support plans for all three generations.
