✈️ Oslo Airport Leads on Both Departing and Arriving Aircraft Counts
From September 1 through September 30, 2026, Oslo Airport (ENGM) had more distinct business aircraft registrations on both the departure and arrival sides than Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ESSA) and Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (EFHK). According to Avi-Go data, with registrations deduplicated separately for each airport and direction, ENGM recorded 135 aircraft on the departure side and 134 on the arrival side; ESSA recorded 110 and 112, respectively, and EFHK recorded 80 and 77, respectively. These are separate counts for each direction at the three specified airports, not combined counts of active aircraft across departures and arrivals. The same aircraft may be counted on both sides, so the 135 and 134 aircraft cannot be added together.
Impact: For business aviation service providers covering ENGM, ESSA, and EFHK, ENGM’s higher distinct-registration counts in both directions in September 2026 can serve as a reference for identifying potential customers. However, the separately counted departure and arrival figures reflect the range of aircraft observed and cannot be equated directly with the size of the based fleet. Allocating long-term on-site resources on this basis could therefore be misaligned with actual service demand.
Recommendation: For ENGM’s 135 departing aircraft and 134 arriving aircraft, first check for overlap between the two groups by registration number, then compare ENGM with ESSA and EFHK using the same method of deduplicating registrations across departures and arrivals. Until that check is complete, the figures for the two directions can be used separately to develop customer lists, but should not be added together as a basis for ranking active aircraft across the three airports or allocating on-site resources.
