📉 NetJets Europe's Business Aviation Movements Down 11.9% in First Half, Diverging from Flexjet

Avi-Go data shows that in the first half of 2026, the NetJets Europe fleet recorded 57,380 movements, a decrease of 7,762 movements from 65,142 in the same period of 2025, down 11.9% year-on-year. Over the same period, Flexjet's total fleet reached 170,098 movements, up 2.74% year-on-year. NetJets' decline was primarily dragged down by an abnormal trough in March 2026, with only 5,422 movements that month, a 37.5% decrease month-on-month, after which it recovered month by month from April to 13,076 in June. Flexjet, by contrast, operated steadily, maintaining a range of approximately 26,400 to 30,300 movements each month. Note that the two use different statistical scopes—NetJets covers the European fleet, while Flexjet covers the total fleet, so their volumes cannot be directly compared side by side.

Impact: The two major fractional ownership operators are moving in opposite directions, with Flexjet showing a trend of share expansion. The fluctuating capacity rhythm of NetJets Europe may affect the scheduling stability of its regional clients and capacity assurance during peak season.

Recommendation: The NetJets Europe operations team should review the specific causes of the sharp March decline (fleet allocation, maintenance, or demand factors) within July 2026, and lock in capacity on key routes in advance for the summer peak season (July-August). When taking on Europe's summer peak demand, brokers and FBOs may include Flexjet in their backup capacity pool to hedge against scheduling risks.
