📉 NetJets Reductions Concentrated at Two Major Business Aviation Airports

NetJets Europe’s flight activity declined by 6.7% over the past 30 days, but the change was not uniform across departure airports. Paris Le Bourget and Farnborough recorded the most significant reductions, while Mediterranean airports saw growth. Avi-Go data show that, counting one complete flight as one movement, the operator recorded 6,208 movements from July 16 to August 14, 2026, down 447 from 6,655 movements between June 16 and July 15, 2026. Movements at Paris Le Bourget Airport (LFPB) fell from 351 to 224, while those at London Farnborough Airport (EGLF) declined from 219 to 147. Together, the two airports recorded a reduction of 199 movements, accounting for 44.5% of the overall decrease. During the same period, movements at Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (LIEO) rose from 99 to 186, while those at Palma de Mallorca Airport (LEPA) increased from 138 to 162, indicating clear airport-level differences in demand shifts within this 30-day window.

Impact: FBOs serving NetJets Europe at Le Bourget and Farnborough handled lower service volumes, but Olbia added 87 movements, indicating that demand for crew handling, rapid turnarounds, and ground support shifted toward Mediterranean leisure destinations. Uniformly reducing resources based solely on the operator’s overall volume could exacerbate support-resource mismatches among airports.

Recommendation: NetJets Europe and the relevant FBOs could adjust staffing and ground-service deployment for late August 2026 based on airport-level increases and decreases across the two periods. Le Bourget and Farnborough should focus on improving roster flexibility, while Olbia should retain peak-response capacity in line with its recent volume of 186 movements. They should subsequently monitor whether Olbia’s increase continues after the summer season before deciding whether to adjust longer-term resource allocations.
