✈️ Business Aviation at Linate Holds Steady Through Summer, Awaiting September's Dual-Peak Surge

Milan Linate has entered a relatively stable period in midsummer, building up momentum for two major traffic peaks in September. Avi-Go data shows that over the 60 days from July 11 to August 10, 2026, business aviation at Linate (LIML) recorded 2,370 movements (1,181 departures, 1,189 arrivals), averaging about 76.5 per day—a decrease of 65 movements, or a slight 2.7% drop, from 2,435 in the same period of 2025, essentially holding steady. Operator Milano Prime, under SEA Prime, recorded approximately 18,200 movements in the first half of 2026, with Linate Prime up 15% year-on-year, and put an expanded terminal into service in March 2026. With Monza F1 (weekend of September 4) and Milan Fashion Week (September 23–29) approaching in September, the actual surge effect remains to be seen.

Impact: Steady summer traffic means the expanded capacity currently has room to spare, but the overlap of two major events in September may concentrate demand within a short window, at which point strain on ground handling and parking will be worth watching.

Recommendation: Observation points worth tracking are Linate's actual movement curves during the Monza F1 weekend on September 4 and Fashion Week starting September 23, using these to verify the capacity-absorbing capability of the terminal newly opened in March, and then to decide on the capacity scheduling pace for subsequent periods.
