Miami–Atlanta Jet Traffic Drops 61%

AVI-GO Intelligence · · Interactive version with charts

✈️ Miami–Atlanta Traffic Across Four Routes Falls to 53 Flights

Business jet traffic across four specified Miami–Atlanta airport pairs declined in the latest complete 30-day window, falling from a combined 136 flights to 53 flights. Avi-Go data show that, counting each completed flight as one flight and combining both directions, KOPF–KPDK decreased from 72 flights in the previous window to 34 flights between July 27 and August 25, 2026, a decline of 52.8%, while remaining the busiest of the four airport pairs; KOPF–KFTY fell from 38 flights to 9 flights, down 76.3%. During the same period, KTMB–KPDK decreased from 20 flights to 7 flights, while KTMB–KFTY fell from 6 flights to 3 flights. Compared with June 27 through July 26, 2026, the four pairs recorded a combined decrease of 83 flights, of which the two pairs originating from or arriving at KOPF accounted for 67 flights.

Impact: KOPF–KPDK and KOPF–KFTY accounted for 80.7% of the absolute decline, meaning that brokers quoting solely on the basis of total Miami–Atlanta city-pair traffic could easily overlook demand differences among airport combinations. For operators serving these sectors, KOPF–KPDK still recorded 34 flights, giving it a clearly different allocation priority from KTMB–KFTY, which recorded only 3 flights.

Recommendation: Brokers should establish separate quoting and repositioning benchmarks for each of the four airport pairs, with empty-leg connections developed separately based primarily on the 34 flights for KOPF–KPDK and the 9 flights for KOPF–KFTY. Operators can continue monitoring absolute traffic volumes for each airport pair after August 26, 2026, to assess whether the short-window level of 53 flights persists.
