Jet Aviation held the grand opening of its new FBO at Miami's Opa-Locka (KOPF) on July 24, 2026, featuring an 8,500-square-foot terminal, an approximately 40,000-square-foot hangar with a 30-foot door, and an approximately 540,000-square-foot ramp capable of parking ultra-long-range business jets. An on-site CBP customs facility is expected to open in the third quarter of 2026. This move aims to capture international arrival traffic that previously flowed through the Miami and Fort Lauderdale hubs. Avi-Go data shows that KOPF recorded 38,406 movements from early 2026 through July 29, exhibiting the classic Florida rhythm of busy winters and quiet summers—peaking at 7,228 movements in January and dropping to 4,183 in June. Among arrival origins, New York led with 1,410 movements, Nassau's 616 highlighted its role as a Caribbean gateway, and intra-Florida cities totaled approximately 3,394 movements.
