🇯🇵 HondaJet Records 86 Domestic Flights in Japan
HondaJet’s recent activity in Japan has primarily consisted of domestic flights. Tokyo Haneda and Narita were the two most active airports for takeoffs and landings in the sample, although destinations extended to multiple regional airports. Avi-Go data show that from July 1 to August 14, 2026, after deduplication by unique registration number, 10 active HA-420 aircraft were observed completing 88 flights with at least one departure or arrival point in Japan. Of these, 86 were domestic flights within Japan, while another two involved cross-border operations. Japanese airports recorded a total of 174 takeoffs and landings, including 30 at Haneda Airport (RJTT) and 23 at Narita Airport (RJAA); Kagoshima Airport (RJFK) recorded 14, Aomori Airport (RJSA) 13, and Sapporo Okadama Airport (RJCO) 12. This shows that, beyond the Tokyo hubs, these aircraft also maintained regular connections to destinations in Kyushu, Tohoku, and Hokkaido.
Impact: The 86 domestic flights define a clear operating-support scenario for HA-420 operations in Japan: support demand is not concentrated solely in Tokyo. Haneda and Narita recorded a combined 53 takeoffs and landings, making them relatively high-frequency service touchpoints; the combined 39 movements at Kagoshima, Aomori, and Sapporo Okadama indicate that short-turn ground support, fuel coordination, and crew services at regional airports also directly affect mission continuity.
Recommendation: Based on actual movement frequencies of 30, 23, and 14, HA-420 operators can separately review the response records of their regular service providers at Haneda, Narita, and Kagoshima, while adding Aomori and Sapporo Okadama to their contingency support lists. A point to monitor is whether the 10 active aircraft continue to operate primarily domestic sectors after August 17, 2026, and whether activity at regional airports can be sustained.
