Hanoi Leads Cross-Border Business Jet Arrivals

AVI-GO Intelligence · · Interactive version with charts

🌏 Hanoi Has a Higher Cross-Border Business Jet Arrival Workload

Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport recorded more cross-border business jet arrivals than Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat Airport in the third quarter of 2026. Avi-Go data shows that from July 1 to September 30, 2026, Noi Bai Airport recorded 126 business jet arrivals originating outside Vietnam, compared with 65 at Tan Son Nhat Airport—a difference of 61 arrivals. Each landing is counted as one arrival. The figures cover only cross-border arrivals at these two airports; they exclude flights arriving from within Vietnam and departure legs. On this arrivals-only basis, Noi Bai Airport had a higher ground-handling workload. The figures do not represent all business jet movements at the two airports.

Impact: For ground handlers serving cross-border business jets at both Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat airports, 126 arrivals versus 65 indicate different levels of arrival-handling demand. When assigning staff for aircraft arrival coordination, passenger reception, and crew services, Noi Bai Airport’s measured third-quarter workload can serve as a reference for comparing staffing allocations between the two stations. These inbound figures should not be used to estimate departure-handling requirements.

Recommendation: Ground-handling teams at the two stations can break down the third-quarter cross-border arrivals—126 at Noi Bai and 65 at Tan Son Nhat—by day, then compare the daily figures with their respective staffing records to identify dates when additional personnel were actually needed. They should continue recording arrivals using the same criteria—departure from outside Vietnam and landing at the specified airport—to see whether the workload gap between the two airports persists.
