✈️ Haneda Accounts for More Than Half of International Business Jet Arrivals at Three Airports
Haneda ranked first in international business jet arrivals among the three Japanese airports. Avi-Go data show that from August 4 to October 7, 2026, business jets arriving from outside Japan made 222 landings at Haneda Airport, 148 at Narita Airport, and 51 at Kansai Airport, for a combined 421 landings across the three airports. Haneda accounted for 52.7% of the three-airport total. This count records one arrival for each landing and excludes departures; it reflects the volume of aircraft arriving from abroad handled by each airport during the period.
Impact: For ground-handling teams serving Haneda, Narita, and Kansai, the 222, 148, and 51 landings represent different arrival-support frequencies. Staffing schedules and aircraft reception arrangements can be based on each airport’s observed volume. Haneda handled more than half of arrivals in the three-airport sample, making its cross-border arrival-service demand especially important to monitor.
Recommendation: When preparing cross-border arrival duty rosters for these three airports, record arrival counts separately for Haneda, Narita, and Kansai, and adjust the frequency of aircraft reception staff shifts at each airport as subsequent data compiled on the same basis become available. In particular, monitor whether the gap in arrival volumes between Haneda and Narita persists, rather than dividing the three-airport total equally as the basis for service planning.
