✈️ FAI Adds Global 6000 Capacity to Align with Saudi-Bound Traffic
On August 20, 2026, FAI Aviation Group added a second Bombardier Global 6000 to its worldwide charter operations, expanding the immediate availability of this aircraft type. The additional aircraft can perform long-range intercontinental charter missions and will serve global customers alongside the group’s first aircraft of the same type. Avi-Go data show that, based on complete flights counted as one movement each, between May 21 and August 19, 2026, Global 6000s operated 43 flights from Europe to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait, 35 more than the eight flights operated by Gulfstream G550s. Of these, 41 Global 6000 flights arrived in Saudi Arabia, accounting for 95.3% of the aircraft type’s total recorded flights, while another two arrived in Qatar. During the same period, G550s operated six flights to Saudi Arabia and two to Qatar. FAI is expanding its fleet with the same aircraft type that was more active in the Europe-to-Gulf sample over the past three months and whose activity was highly concentrated on Saudi Arabia, providing it with additional deployable aircraft to meet charter demand from Europe to Saudi Arabia.
Impact: The second Global 6000 gives FAI greater scheduling flexibility for long-range charter missions. For charter customers traveling from Europe to Saudi Arabia, the increased availability of the same aircraft type within a single operator’s fleet also provides more options for aircraft rotation and consecutive mission planning.
Recommendation: Based on the primary traffic flow represented by the 41 Europe-to-Saudi Arabia sectors, FAI could prioritize European departure coverage and connections with destination services in Saudi Arabia for the second Global 6000, while continuing to monitor the fleet’s actual flight volume on this route and the distribution of missions between the two aircraft following the additional aircraft’s entry into service.
