✈️ Gestair’s Flight Frequency per Aircraft Rises

Gestair had 29 active aircraft registrations in each of two consecutive 30-day windows, so the change in flight volume reflects how frequently those aircraft were used. Avi-Go data show that the operator completed 299 flights from July 26 to August 24, 2026, averaging 10.31 flights per active aircraft registration. From August 25 to September 23, 2026, its flight volume rose to 452, averaging 15.59 flights per active aircraft registration—an increase of 5.28. An active aircraft registration is one that completed at least one flight during the period, and each completed flight counts as one flight. The comparison shows that the later period’s growth in flight volume came from more frequent use of active aircraft.

Impact: With 29 active aircraft registrations in both periods, Gestair completed 153 more flights in the later period. The operator’s scheduling, crew assignments, and aircraft turnaround need to accommodate the higher flight frequency. Flight counts, however, measure the number of flights and do not directly indicate flight hours or additional capacity.

Recommendation: Gestair can compare the distribution of flight legs by aircraft registration across the two periods to identify which aircraft accounted for the additional 153 flights, then use actual flight hours and turnaround records to plan maintenance and crew assignments. Two points to monitor are whether the number of active aircraft registrations remains at 29 and how the average number of completed flights per active aircraft registration changes.
