✈️ Genel Havacilik Flight Volume and Active Aircraft Count Move Differently
Genel Havacilik A.S. recorded fewer flights from September 11 to October 10, 2026, than in the preceding 30 days, while its number of active business aircraft registrations remained close to the earlier level. Avi-Go data show that the operator completed 210 flights from September 11 to October 10, down 45.5% from 385 flights between August 12 and September 10. Each window covers 30 days, with 14 and 15 active registrations, respectively. Active registrations are counted once per window if they completed at least one flight, while each completed flight counts as one flight. Viewed together, the two measures show that the number of flight missions and the number of aircraft that flew changed by different amounts in the more recent window.
Impact: For Genel Havacilik A.S., flight volume fell by 175 flights while the active registration count fell by just one. Crew scheduling and flight assignments by aircraft can therefore be guided primarily by the actual number of flight missions, rather than by the active aircraft count alone. Calculated roughly by active registration, the two 30-day windows averaged about 25.7 and 15.0 flights per registration, respectively. This measure provides an overview of how missions were distributed within each window, not the actual utilization rate of each aircraft.
Recommendation: The operator could review the flight-mission distribution for each of the 14 active registrations from September 11 to October 10 and compare it with the 15 registrations in the previous window to identify the aircraft and dates on which the change in flight volume was concentrated. A point to monitor in the next window, beginning after October 11, is whether completed flight counts and active registration counts continue to change by different amounts.
