✈️ FAI’s Seven-Aircraft Global Fleet Welcomes a New Addition

On August 19, 2026, FAI rent-a-jet added its second Bombardier Global 6000 of the year, registered D-AFAN. Based in Nuremberg, Germany, the aircraft will be used for worldwide corporate charter operations. This expansion increases its Global-family fleet to seven aircraft and its all-Bombardier business jet fleet to 18 aircraft. On August 20, its public recruitment page listed a first officer position for the Learjet LR-60; on August 19, FAI also appointed Captain Lino Xuereb as postholder for its Malta unit. Avi-Go data shows that, measured by operator and counting each completed flight as one movement, FAI Aviation completed 1,643 business jet movements from February through July 2026. Monthly flight volume rose consecutively from 200 movements in April to 238 in May, 269 in June, and 293 in July. However, July remained 80 movements below March’s 373, a decline of 21.4%. The new aircraft therefore joins the fleet during an operating window marked by three consecutive months of recovery, although activity has yet to return to March levels.

Impact: The second Global 6000 directly increases FAI’s long-range capacity for worldwide corporate charters from Nuremberg and expands scheduling options across its seven-aircraft Global-family fleet. Meanwhile, July’s 293 movements represented an 8.5% increase from February. Following the fleet expansion, utilization rates and mission allocation by aircraft type will be key indicators for assessing how effectively the additional capacity is absorbed.

Recommendation: FAI could disclose monthly mission counts for D-AFAN after it enters service, along with Global-family utilization hours, and include the share of long-range corporate charter flights departing from Nuremberg in its operational tracking. Market participants should closely monitor whether FAI’s monthly flight volume from September through December 2026 remains above July’s 293 movements, and whether its public recruitment listings add positions specifically associated with the Global 6000.
