Avi-Go data shows that Uganda's Entebbe Airport (HUEN) recorded only 271 business jet movements (114 departures, 157 arrivals) from January 1 to July 20, 2026, a 61.8% decline from 709 movements in the same period of 2025, a reduction of 438 movements, indicating a significant contraction in scale. In terms of operator composition during the same period, local carrier Renegade Air led with 94 movements, followed by scattered small and medium operators such as Elite Jet (14 movements) and Vista Jet Ltd (13 movements).
Impact: The sharp decline in movements directly compresses the business foundation for ground handling and fuel supply at Entebbe Airport; active capacity is concentrated in a single operator, Renegade Air, while other carriers have thin volumes. The airport's reliance on a single local operator has increased, resulting in weaker resilience against fluctuations.
