The dedicated parts support system for the in-service Eclipse 500/550 fleet is about to enter a restructuring phase. AIN reported on August 17, 2026, that parts manufacturer Resurgent Aviation Solutions had launched a liquidation auction for its parts and related assets and planned to close on August 31. Avi-Go data show that, from May 20 to August 18, 2026, 175 Eclipse 500s and 21 Eclipse 550s flew at least once during the period, representing a total of 196 active aircraft. During the same period, the two models completed 3,208 and 300 flights, respectively, based on complete flight records, for a combined total of 3,508 flights. Each active aircraft averaged 18.3 and 14.3 flights, respectively, indicating that the parts involved in the liquidation still support an installed fleet in ongoing operation.
Impact: In the short term, the liquidation will release some inventory, tooling, and related assets onto the market, but the separate disposal of assets will alter the procurement and maintenance coordination channels for Eclipse-specific parts. For operators and maintenance organizations supporting the 196 aircraft active during the period, the availability of high-failure-rate parts, long-lead-time parts, and Eclipse 550-specific parts will directly affect the efficiency of future AOG response and continuing airworthiness support arrangements.
Recommendation: Before Resurgent’s planned closure on August 31, 2026, Eclipse 500/550 operators should compile separate critical-parts lists reflecting the differences between the active fleets of 175 and 21 aircraft, verify traceability documentation, applicable configurations, and existing inventory, and prioritize Eclipse 550-specific parts. Fleet operators and maintenance organizations could also use actual consumption records corresponding to 3,508 flights over the past 91 days to jointly establish a shared spare-parts pool. Going forward, they should closely monitor the entities taking over the tooling, drawings, and technical documentation through the liquidation, as well as the completeness of those assets.
