✈️ Cobalt Air Regional Network Ramps Up, Pilatus Takes Center Stage

Avi-Go data shows that Cobalt Air's takeoffs and landings climbed to a phase peak of 8,324 movements starting June 2026, continuing an upward trend from 5,652 in January. Of these, June takeoffs of 4,162 represented a 47.3% increase over January's 2,826. On the fleet side, the active 59 aircraft center absolutely on Pilatus, with the PC-12 contributing 16,090 movements for 77.4% and the PC-24 accounting for 22.6%, while the Falcon 2000 appeared only marginally. Takeoffs and landings concentrated at northeastern and southeastern hubs such as KPSM (2,076), KBED (1,213), and KPDK (1,133), reflecting regional network densification and high turnover of the existing fleet rather than cross-regional new base expansion.

Impact: The ramp-up in turboprop/light jet regional capacity will intensify ground handling and slot competition at hubs like KPSM and KBED; the imbalanced PC-12/PC-24 ratio means that once supply of a single aircraft type's chain is constrained, overall capacity flexibility will quickly narrow.

Recommendation: FBOs and ground service providers should lock in Cobalt Air's parking and fueling quotas at KPSM and KBED before the peak season in August 2026; OEMs and MROs can leverage the PC-12's high turnover window to proactively engage on spare parts and scheduled maintenance planning in Q3 2026, binding to its expansion dividend.
