✈️ Vision Jet European Fleet Doubles, G3 Launch Expected to Accelerate Market Penetration

Cirrus Vision Jet is completing a significant scale leap in the European market. According to Avi-Go data, Vision SF50 business aviation departures in Europe reached 846 movements in 2025, a 45.6% increase from 581 movements in 2024. During the same period, the active fleet doubled from 5 to 10 aircraft, with newly registered tail numbers including T7-437, OK-VCL, SP-VMM, and several other European-registered types. Notably, average annual movements per aircraft declined from 116.2 to 84.6 (a 27.2% decrease), reflecting that newly inducted aircraft are still in their operational ramp-up phase. The leading fleet aircraft LX-SFB contributed 333 movements, accounting for 39.4% of total European flight activity, while YR-WSF recorded a growth rate as high as 139.6% over the same period. According to AIN, Cirrus officially unveiled the third-generation Vision Jet (G3) at AERO Friedrichshafen in Germany on April 22, 2026. The addition of a third row of seats makes it a true six-seat aircraft. CEO Zean Nielsen confirmed that global production capacity has been sold out for approximately two years, and the upgrade pathway from the SR-series piston aircraft to the Vision Jet constitutes a continuous and stable source of demand.

Impact: For European FBOs, demand for Vision Jet ramp handling and ground support services will continue to rise alongside fleet expansion. In particular, airports in Central and Eastern Europe that have had limited prior exposure to this aircraft type should proactively assess their maintenance and support capability alignment. Regarding the competitive landscape, the G3 six-seat variant directly broadens the Vision Jet's applicable use cases and will place it in more direct competition with certain light twin-engine jets.

Recommendation: European MRO providers should complete their Vision Jet authorized maintenance qualification assessments before the second half of 2026, prioritizing coverage in emerging Central and Eastern European registration markets such as Poland and Romania. Dealers and sales teams should identify existing SR-series customers as priority outreach targets for the G3, leveraging the sold-out production capacity window to secure positions on waitlists for future order slots.
