✈️ Twin Long-Range Flagships Take Off in Asia-Pacific, China and India Account for Half the Demand
Bombardier's Global series is seeing steady release of long-range flight demand in the Asia-Pacific, with the next-generation model rapidly catching up to the veteran's pace. Avi-Go data shows that from early 2026 through July 24, Global 6000 departures in the Asia-Pacific reached 2,776 flights, while the Global 7500—its upgraded successor model—recorded 2,004 flights, already reaching about 72% of the 6000's volume. Looking at departure countries, the two models combined saw their Top 10 countries account for about 93.6%, with China ranking first at 1,679 flights (32.0%) and India second at 1,015 flights (19.3%), together making up 51.3% and forming the core demand hinterland; the Maldives ranked 10th with 137 flights, reflecting the Global series' activity on intercontinental resort charter routes. It should be noted that 72% is a ratio of flight volume, not fleet penetration.
Impact: The scale of the in-service Global fleets in China and India provides solid demand support for Bombardier's expansion of its Asia-Pacific MRO network; the rapid approach of Global 7500 flight volume toward that of the 6000 also signals that the focus of future maintenance and spare parts demand will tilt toward the newer model.
Recommendation: MRO service providers and spare parts suppliers serving China and India should position themselves early in the second half of 2026 for Global 7500-specific spare parts and technician certifications, seizing the generational transition window; charter operators can lock in Global series capacity for long-range resort routes such as the Maldives ahead of the Q4 2026 travel peak season.
