✈️ CAE Active Registrations Remain Steady, While Flight Count Falls by 58
CAE had 85 active registrations in each of two consecutive 30-day windows, while its complete flight count differed by 58 flights. Avi-Go data filtered by operator CAE show 8,299 complete flights from August 7 to September 5, 2026, and 8,241 from September 6 to October 5, 2026, a decline of approximately 0.7%. An active registration is a distinct registration with at least one complete flight record during the period; each complete flight counts as one flight, so multiple flights by the same registration are counted separately. These figures show a small change in CAE’s overall business jet flight activity, not that the flight activity of each of the 85 aircraft remained stable.
Impact: For analysis of CAE’s fleet utilization, the identical active-registration counts indicate that the number of registrations participating in flights was unchanged between the two periods. The 58-flight difference in overall volume, however, changes the average number of flights per active registration during the period. That average describes only the fleet-wide aggregate and cannot substitute for an aircraft-by-aircraft utilization comparison.
Recommendation: CAE can compare complete flight counts by registration across the two 30-day windows, distinguish aircraft active in both periods from those active in only one, and identify which registrations account for the 58-flight difference. When planning subsequent fleet use, it should rely on individual aircraft records rather than the aggregate figure of “85 active registrations.”
