Avi-Go data shows that during the 8 weeks from June 4 to July 30, 2026, business jet movements at Bodrum Airport (LTFE) climbed steadily from 107 movements during the week of June 4–10 to 418 movements during the week of July 23–30, marking the peak of the period, with only a slight dip to 293 movements during the week of July 16–22. The 8-week total reached 2,089 movements, with the peak week growing approximately 291% over the starting week. The source structure is highly concentrated—Istanbul accounted for 258 movements, or 24.50% of total arrivals, several times that of the second-place city; Athens, Nice, and Mykonos each recorded 38 movements, followed closely by Ankara at 35, with domestic Turkey totaling approximately 27.8%.
Impact: Bodrum's passenger sources are highly dependent on domestic feed from Istanbul's affluent clientele, with a single source city contributing nearly a quarter of arrivals, meaning the airport's peak-season capacity throughput is strongly tied to departure demand from Istanbul; Greece and Nice, France constitute the main international supplementary passenger sources.
Recommendation: Operators and FBOs should continue to ensure capacity for the Istanbul–Bodrum sector at the tail end of the August 2026 peak season, while assessing capacity redeployment in advance for the post-peak decline in September; for international passenger sources at Aegean waypoints such as Athens and Mykonos, inter-island connecting fare offerings can be tested within August to hedge against reliance on a single source.
