Avi-Go data shows that amid a "four down, one up" pattern across Europe's five largest business aviation airports in 2026, Berlin Brandenburg Airport (EDDB) recorded 4,988 movements YTD as of June 11, 2026, up 4.7% year-on-year (+223 movements), making it the only hub to achieve positive growth. On a monthly basis, it strengthened year-on-year for four consecutive months—January (+11.5%), March (+6.5%), April (+13.2%), and May (+7.6%)—with only minor pullbacks in February (-10.0%) and early June (-2.9%). Combined with Germany's strong overall performance—according to the 2026-05 monthly report, although Germany did not make Europe's top three, France, the UK, and Italy each posted MoM gains exceeding 80% that month, with YTD year-on-year growth of 17% to 28%, indicating a clear regional demand spillover effect. It should be noted that EDDB's absolute volume of nearly 5,000 movements remains far below top-tier hubs such as Paris Le Bourget and Geneva, and is not yet sufficient to qualify it as a premier hub.
Impact: Berlin's relatively lower FBO costs and improving airport infrastructure are attracting spillover demand for business charter flights, offering FBO investors a differentiated entry window; however, the limited volume means returns on early positioning must be assessed from a medium-to-long-term perspective.
