📉 Short-Window Traffic Contraction at Le Bourget and Teterboro

Le Bourget and Teterboro recorded the largest declines in aircraft movements among the airports included in the returned candidate list. Avi-Go data show that, at the airport level, with each takeoff and landing counted as one movement, business aircraft movements at Paris–Le Bourget Airport (LFPB) fell from 5,002 to 3,401 between the July 3–August 1, 2026 window and the August 2–31, 2026 window, a decrease of 1,601 movements, or 32.0%. At New York’s Teterboro Airport (KTEB), movements fell from 11,447 to 10,209, a decrease of 1,238 movements, or 10.8%. During the same period, movements at Westchester County Airport (KHPN) decreased from 7,749 to 6,901, down 848 movements, while movements at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (LFMN) declined from 5,380 to 4,560, down 820 movements. These figures reflect the actual changes at the returned candidate airports across two consecutive 30-day windows.

Impact: Le Bourget’s decrease of 1,601 movements had a more direct impact on business volumes for Paris business aviation ground handling, stand turnover, and related service providers during this window. Teterboro still recorded 10,209 movements, indicating a clearly higher support-service base at New York’s primary business aviation airport. Westchester County Airport also posted a decrease of 848 movements over the same period, meaning New York-area service providers need to monitor traffic changes at both business aviation airports rather than allocate sales and operational support resources based on data from only one airport.

Recommendation: Service providers at Le Bourget can adjust September staffing based on the measured scale of 3,401 movements over the latest 30-day period and continue tracking the gap against the previous-window baseline of 5,002 movements. New York-area operators and service teams should monitor Teterboro and Westchester County Airport separately, focusing on whether movements at both airports continue to change in the same direction over the full 30-day September window.
