🏔️ Aero's Summer Flight Volume Rises to 200 Movements, LA–Aspen Becomes the Primary Battleground

Entering the peak summer season, semi-private operator Aero's flight footprint has clearly shifted toward vacation traffic. Avi-Go data shows that Aero's business jet flight volume over the past 30 days (July 6 to August 4, 2026) reached 200 movements, an increase of 65 movements or 48.1% compared to the previous 30 days (June 6 to July 5) at 135 movements. Operations are heavily concentrated in Los Angeles, with 7 of the Top 10 routes involving LA. Among them, LA–Aspen bidirectional totaled 30 movements, the single largest market, while LA–New York bidirectional at 14 movements supports its transcontinental positioning. Of the 7-aircraft fleet, three ERJ 135 VIPs contributed 98 movements accounting for 49% as the backbone, while a single Gulfstream GIV flew 37 movements with the highest utilization.

Impact: LA–Aspen vacation traffic has become Aero's most critical revenue source for the current period, with capacity and scheduling showing significantly increased reliance on this corridor. Once Aspen's peak-season traffic recedes, overall flight volume will come under pressure.

Recommendation: Aero can lock in slots and ground support resources for LA–Aspen peak hours during August, and assess whether to add capacity before Labor Day in September for transcontinental LA–New York demand, balancing seasonal fluctuations on both the vacation and business ends.
