The deal extends Jetex's global VIP terminal network into Eastern Europe as Sofia positions itself as a growing regional aviation hub with rising terminal capacity.
Jetex, the global luxury aviation services brand, and SOF Connect have signed an agreement to develop and operate a VIP lounge at Vasil Levski Sofia Airport, Bulgaria's main international airport and the sixth-largest international airport in Central and Eastern Europe. The new facility, Jetex Sofia, will be located in the western wing of Terminal 1 with a private entrance and a collection of lounges, serving both private aviation guests and CIP passengers travelling on commercial airlines.

The lounge is anticipated to welcome its first guests in the fourth quarter of 2026, with Jetex expecting more than 30,000 passengers to pass through the facility in 2027. Adel Mardini, Founder and CEO of Jetex, said Sofia has been evolving into a leading aviation hub in Eastern Europe, with plans to increase capacity from eight to 20 million passengers annually. Jesus Caballero, CEO of SOF Connect, said the partnership is a step toward transforming Sofia into a modern, five-star regional hub.
Jetex currently operates a global network of more than 40 VIP terminals in destinations including Paris, London, Istanbul, Milan, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Marrakech, and Singapore, and Jetex Sofia will reinforce the company's presence in Eastern Europe.
