Ultra-long-range capability at this range removes fuel-stop constraints on transcontinental and transoceanic city pairs, reshaping which routes large-cabin operators can offer nonstop.
Gulfstream's G600 is an ultra-long-range business jet capable of flying up to 6,600 nautical miles (12,223 km) nonstop, connecting city pairs such as New York and Dubai, London and Beijing, and Los Angeles and Shanghai. The aircraft cruises at Mach 0.90, with a maximum speed of 516 knots.

The G600 is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW800 engines and seats up to 19 passengers, operated by a crew of two pilots and one flight attendant. Its cabin can be configured into up to four living areas and features large windows, a galley, a lavatory, and an optional shower. The cockpit is equipped with the Symmetry Flight Deck, which includes active control sidesticks and ten touch-screen displays.
Gulfstream states the G600 delivers 12% better fuel efficiency compared to previous-generation aircraft. The jet has received certification from both the FAA and EASA, and Gulfstream has delivered more than 100 G600 aircraft to date.
A large-cabin jet that links New York with Dubai or Los Angeles with Shanghai nonstop removes a fuel stop that would otherwise add hours and a landing fee to those itineraries. That changes the routing math for any operator or broker quoting long-haul city pairs on this class of aircraft.
Ultra-long-range large-cabin jets compete on exactly this mix of range, cabin configuration and cruise speed, since dual FAA and EASA certification lets an operator base and dispatch the same airframe across US and European regulatory regimes without separate approval work. The claimed 12% fuel-efficiency gain over prior-generation types also feeds directly into hourly operating cost, which is the figure charter clients and management contracts are priced against.
With more than 100 aircraft already delivered, the next signal to watch is how utilization and dispatch reliability data accumulate across that in-service fleet, since real-world performance on the advertised routes will determine whether operators can consistently sell the nonstop city pairs Gulfstream is citing.
