The expansion reflects small, family-run specialty coffee concepts continuing to grow through single-location openings rather than chain-scale rollouts in regional Ohio markets.
Espresso Air, a coffee shop originally founded in Uptown Westerville, Ohio, opened its second location at 34 S. Sandusky St. in Downtown Delaware on Aug. 12, 2026. The business first launched approximately seven years ago at 25 N. State St. in Westerville. The Delaware space previously housed The Well Health Cafe, which closed late last year due to what its owner described as unexpected family circumstances; that space had originally opened as Inspire Nutrition in 2020 before rebranding.

Espresso Air is owned and operated by founder Talip Kucuker and his family. The menu includes lattes, matcha, cappuccinos, cold brews, teas, smoothies, and baked goods, with several items drawing on Kucuker's Turkish heritage, including the Hezarfen Turkish coffee, named after Ottoman aviator Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi. The business celebrated the Delaware opening in an Aug. 15 Facebook post thanking those who supported the shops.
The Kucuker family is also preparing to open West House, a matcha and chocolate shop, at 21 N. State St. in Uptown Westerville, with plans to launch sometime this year.
