The deal signals growing tie-ups between urban air mobility developers and major venue operators to secure exclusive vertiport access before Olympic-scale demand arrives.
Archer Aviation and AEG have announced a partnership to build downtown Los Angeles's first vertiport at L.A. LIVE, designating Archer as the exclusive air taxi partner for the district and adding a launchpad tied to its ambitions around the LA28 Olympic Games.

The announcement follows Archer's second-quarter 2026 results, which showed revenue of US$5.0 million and a net loss of US$263.2 million, wider than a year earlier, while loss per share narrowed slightly to US$0.34 from US$0.36.
Archer recently completed a piloted roundtrip flight between Salinas and Monterey using its Midnight aircraft, a milestone tied to the regulatory progress needed for future air taxi services in Los Angeles and other markets under the electric Innovative Partnership Program framework. Analysts project Archer could reach US$716.0 million in revenue and US$62.9 million in earnings by 2029, with more optimistic forecasts placing potential 2029 revenue as high as US$868.1 million, though widening losses and certification work remain key risks.
