Volare unveils preliminary plans for Oshkosh Aviation Park

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 runs 20–26 July (concurrent with today, 23 July). KOSH (Wittman Regional Airport) becomes the world's busiest airport during AirVenture week, processing up to 10,000+ aircraft movements. The FAA issues a dedicated NOTAM/Flight Procedures document governing arrivals and departures via published VFR corridors—compliance is mandatory and non-standard. KOSH ramp is segregated: warbirds, ultralights, homebuilts, and business/commercial aircraft each have designated areas. Business aviation operators should note that KOSH does not function as a typical FBO environment—fuel and handling are event-specific. KATW (Appleton) and KGRB (Green Bay) are preferred alternates for turbine/bizjet traffic unwilling to operate under KOSH's mass arrival procedures. Ground congestion around Oshkosh city is severe all week. Peak departure pressure occurs on Saturday 26 July. The Volare Aviation Park development signals long-term infrastructure investment, but offers no near-term capacity relief for 2026.
